The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had recently placed Reliance Jio in the first position of being the fastest operator in terms of average download speed that is offered on 4G technology. It offers an average download speed of about 19 Mbps that leaves other operators way behind. TRAI declared jio network speed to be the fastest of all. It did a pan-India rollout for its fastest 4G speed services recently that marked its frequency band to be 2100 MHz.
The second place was bagged by Idea that has a network speed of 13.7 Mbps. Vodafone India followed Idea with a slightly less speed of 13.3 Mbps. Ironically, Airtel who claimed to be the fastest network secured the last spot with 10.15 Mbps. The Jio speed is no doubt the best and stands the very first rank out of all.
The information collected by TRAI are from the app called MySpeed that is based on real-time action. They have made this app available to the users all over the country. TRAI has been keeping reliance jio on the top charts consistently. Jio was on the top in March as well with a speed of 18.48 Mbps. India’s fastest 4G download speed was declared to be reliance jio by the speedtest of MySpeed app.
However, TRAI’s results contrasted with other reports. The OpenSignal report had put Airtel on the top charts while in the 4G download speeds in India with a download speed of 11.5 Mbps. OpenSignal ranked Vodafone and Idea in the second and third position respectively and placed Jio on the last with a download speed of 3.92 Mbps. this report mentioned Jio to be the worst network when it comes to latency also.
However, right now Reliance jio is the fourth largest telecom operator in the country with over 100 million subscribers and has a 5.83 million new mobile customers according to TRAI’s research. On the other hand, the rival Airtel added 2.99 million new customers. The fastest mobile network in India, jio is continuing to serve us with its excellent services.
